Tinplate material

Our metal packaging is primarily made of tinplate, which is a thin sheet of low-carbon steel electroplated with a thin layer of tin. Electroplated tin steel strip combines the strength and formability of steel with the corrosion resistance, solderability and beautiful appearance of tin into material, with the characteristics of corrosion resistance, non-toxicity, high strength and food ductility.

It is widely used in food packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, daily necessities packaging, instrument packaging, industrial product packaging, etc.

Grade and execution standard JIS G 3303, EN10202, ASTM A623: SPCC, MR DI

Tinspkg mainly use below specification of tinplate

Tinplate thickness

0.19-0.35mm

Mostly common use 0.23mm, 0.25mm, 0.28mm thickness

Tin coating weight range

Equal 2.8g/m² on both sides

Common for food cans

T1(T50): very soft and suitable for deep drawing

T2(T52): medium and suitable for all cans

T3(T57): half hard and suitable for can bodiesDR8: extra hard and suitable for click clack tin lid
